It's been a while in New York City, and most of time what I did is looking for a full time job. A lot of people told me I can find a really nice job with my degree. Most of time, the design job required at least 3 years experiences.

Today, I want to share some website that I find jobs for the most of time.

Indeed.com is a website that is similar as google, but more concentrate on job that is open to people.

freefashiointernships.com

Free Fashion Internships is a website where you can find a lot of internships,which is a great opportunity for students to get start. However, most of time you only can find jobs are non-paid .

Craiglist is also a great website you can go visit for job hunting, but make sure you double check the company's background before you go to the interview.

Backside of face, I used wax burs to get the extera wax out.

I have been working on carving face on wax for one week.

When I first start the face I was having some problem with dimensional perspective.

1st face, too much problem with air bubbles.

Now I have improve a lot on wax working and it looks so much better when I first started.

The first face that I carved have a lot of problem, such as air bubbles.

Since I am using adding wax process for my face, I have be aware of adding wax without creating too much air bubbles. As in progress, I have discover I have to add wax when it's "smoking hot."

Theme of the Semester & My show

My theme of the semester is I love Taiwan.

 

Since I am an International student, and I love my country very much.

I would like to use my own  way to introduce Taiwan to everybody with my jewelry pieces.

For my first series of design is inspired from Taiwanese temple culture.

Eight Infernal Generals is a very common performing group in the Taiwaneses temple culture.

Eight Infernal Generals have eight different character, and they have different facial painting to  present each individually, so in my design I would like to corporate the color from enamel on the casting pieces.

Summer research -Preparing for mokume gane

          Preparing Metals for Mokume gane, this time I only use brass, and copper.

     We used mile steel for the mokume steel plate

                                           We drilled hole on the steel plate in order to put bolts and nuts

Student Sale

My first time to do student sale

I really enjoy!!!!

It make me to think about more, such as business card, packaging,ect.

but It was too late to make those thing, so this year might just sale my jewelry

I wish I can do more for the display~oh well~ I can consider next time

So I migh consider to make my bussiness card in Taiwan~ hope it's cheaper!!

Finally my Etching came out

I have been very busy recently
working on many projects!!

I was very stress about the design for the etching.
what can I do for etching??

One day I was in History of Craft, I was stopping by the image.....Mount Fuji

 so I came out with my design for etching.....................

I was useing nail polish for the eitching, but it was very hard to get my line very smooth.

So I used asphaltum for cover the whole pieces of metal with the asphaltum, only one side!! (need to wait 24Hr)

And my professor suggested me use chalk apply on the back side of design put on the top of asphaltum, and then use pen draw over on the design, it will came out like top.

the most  messy part, to scratch the resist away

and When I finish the scratch part, I put a packing tape in the back side of metal, to protect the surface, and creat a handel to hold it in the chemical container, so there will be enough space in betwen the surface of metal and the chemical that we used for the etching. It will helps to get a better result.

so I put in the PCB ( chemical that I used) for about 4 hours, then I got my result

Jewelry Production Project

This is my first time doing real production project~~~and I did it!!!

Finally I got my Spider attach with legs~ it was very hard~ but I did it
